"I've been here many times.

Over and over I keep coming back,

making my pilgrimage back to this place,

where my mind stops making so much noise."

~ Scott Stillman, from "Wilderness"

My summer offerings focus on deepening your connection with nature and with yourself. Take a step away from your daily stress... and follow me into the forest.

Field Trip - Spring Forest Bath

Saturday May 3rd, 12pm

Nature is magical.

Do you remember being a child, spending your summer days outside? Fascinated with the trees, the grass, the plants, the dirt, even the bugs.

We'll combine the magic of being out in the forest with gentle Mindfulness prompts to encourage you to reconnect with the wild world around you. To slow down, and maybe find that place where your "mind stops making so much noise."

We'll also talk a bit about the Celtic celebration of Beltane (May Day), and how both Ayurvedic and Celtic wisdom can further deepen your connection with nature.

Learn how to grow sprouts!

Tuesday, April 22nd (Earth Day!)  6:15pm

at Golden Poppy Herbal Apothecary

In springtime, we often notice sluggishness, lack of motivation, excess mucus, heaviness in the mind and body, and excessive sleepiness. These are all signs of excess Kapha energy in your mind and body, according to Ayurveda.

Adding fresh sprouts to your meals bring a sense of lightness, deep nourishment, and a subtle crunch that helps to clear stagnant Kapha energy out of your system.

In this class, you'll learn why we crave sprouts and spring greens this time of year, and I'll  show you how to grow sprouts at home on your windowsill. You’ll leave with a covered glass container full of germinating sprouts, along with a stash of extra seeds for your next few round of sprouts!

Spring Ayurvedic Cleanse

Thursday March 27th - Sunday April 6th 2025

I've been cleansing for years and leading these cleanses twice yearly for over five years - it's become one of my favorite parts of my practice! If you've not done a cleanse with me before, here's some info:

Why Do We Cleanse?

  • Healthier digestion & elimination
  • Improved immune function
  • Better response to stress, increased relaxation, and deeper sleep
  • Decreased brain fog, less sluggishness, and improved energy levels

Your body and mind love an occasional reset, ideally twice each year in autumn and spring. And often you'll find yourself shedding some of the winter weight during a spring cleanse, as your body and mind shift from the hibernation of winter to the fresh energy of spring.

Shift into Spring with Ayurveda

March 20th 2025

(at Golden Poppy Herbal Apothecary)

Combining the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda and earthy Celtic traditions, I'll  help you learn to gently shift from the hibernation of winter to the blossoming of spring on Ostara (the Spring Equinox).

I'll guide you through some of the foundations of Ayurveda, how it views the energetic shifts of spring, and how to incorporate some nutritional, herbal, and lifestyle practices into your life to help your body move with grace into the new season.

Finding Calm in Chaotic Times

February 23rd 2025

This class will focus on tools such as breathwork, meditation, and connection to help you feel more calm, grounded, and reconnected to your inner wisdom and joy.

Reset for a New Year

January 16th through January 19th, 2025

Together, we'll:

  • move from mindless eating back to mindful nourishment,
  • mend your relationship with your body, and
  • set goals and intentions to move you toward who you want to become.

We'll wrap it all up on Sunday, Jan 19th at 4pm together (online).
